I’m Etiene, a Brazilian software engineer and computational linguistics researcher based in Barcelona. I love learning natural languages and am the founder of Polygloss, a collaborative language learning game that has been played in over 100 languages. I was a very active contributor to the Lua (programming) language community and have been a speaker on various occasions and topics.

Things I care about: interdisciplinarity in science, human & AI ethics and reasoning, small data, neurodivergence, reducing inequality, agency in education, anti-fascism, universal basic income, and latin american epistemology.
